Faith Involves Action

A subject has been swirling in my head for some time now, and apparently, it's time to write about it.  How do we speak of faith and healing, with signs and wonders following, while most of us still rely on the world's systems?  I've seen some miracles.  I've been used in some miracles, and I am still walking after many exacerbations of MS.  Sadly though, often rather than the gift of healing, the gift of discernment simply reveals, we as a society, do not really believe fully in healing, or even worse; the individual does not want to be healed.  There are a number of strange benefits in this country, as opposed to begging outside the Temple as was done in Bible times.

I often struggle with prayer requests as people are heading to the ER or procedures, as to how to actually pray.  Do I pray they trust their issue to our Heavenly Father and stay home in their prayer closet?  Do I pray, someone just intervenes with a bottle of olive oil, and lays hands on them?  Do I ask Abba to prove Himself to them, so they'll change their faith in medicine?  I simply cannot ask YHUH to guide the doctors, except to bear witness of His miracle.  That's apparently what Luke did in Scripture.  There is absolutely no record of Y'hshuah Messiah sending anyone to see Luke.  He did, however; send some folks to present themselves to the High Priest, per Torah instruction.

I walked away from dependence upon mainstream medicine nearly two decades ago.  It was not an easy decision.  I had absolutely no earthly encouragement in my decision, but I still knew it was the right thing to have done.  How can I be ready to pray a prayer of faith for someone's health, if I'm not living it, myself?  I do use herbs and oils, which of course are part of creation, but absolutely no pharmaceuticals.  This is not to say, I am against doctors, but sadly, most of them now work for the pharmaceutical industry, and all of them answer to the licensing system of the government.  I don't believe YHUH is using the present medical system in our nation.

Even though I walked away from mainstream medicine, I do still have some MS symptoms.  I prayed years ago, asking Abba to heal me.  I heard "My grace is sufficient."  Of course I recognized that from II Corinthians 12:9.  As I read through that chapter, I noticed that's where Paul speaks of asking that the thorn in his flesh be removed.  He asked thrice . . . Since I'd already asked many more times than that, I stopped asking.  I haven't asked since, and I can faithfully attest Adonai has used me in healing others, as well as providing health for accomplishments in my own life.  Truly His grace is sufficient.

Over 17 years ago, was the last time I tried to mix faith and mainstream health care.  That exacerbation was bad and it was recommended that I check into long term health care, file for disability, stop my denial and accept reality.  When I stated I knew YHUH would raise me back up from that exacerbation, upon my repentance of seeking medical care, I was labeled to have some sort of "disorder of grandiosity."  As it turns out, "they" were wrong on everything.  I now think, also of the fourteen years, Paul references earlier in that same chapter.  I was presented with the same choice King Asa was, but that last time in the hospital, I knew if I didn't get out of the system, I'd have the same outcome as King Asa.
And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to YHWH, but to the physicians.  And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.  II Chronicles 16:12-13

I wasn't even able to walk at the time I "rolled away" from mainstream health care, and it was a few months before the wheelchair was parked.  It would still be two more years, 2003, before I knew if I'd be given another chance or meet the same end as Asa.

Now, here I've already celebrated twelve years of homesteading and ready to share His goodness with whomsoever is willing to receive.  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Messiah may rest upon me.  II Corinthians 12:9

Winter Ills

I never get a flu shot.  Nor do I use OTC products if illness should visit me.  I'm about in the age group of the real push to get all the annual shots before winter.  They may call it flu season or pneumonia season or even strep throat season, but I simply call it winter and with all the shots now promoted and pushed, I think it's only logical that more illness will be going around!  Father warned me, many would be ill, this winter.

I got an early taste of illness this year, and although it was my own carelessness, I gained valuable information.  More folks are coming to visit the homestead, Tabernacle, and Bethesda, now, and I was busier than I've ever been, while still recovering . . . Part of my recovery plan was pool therapy, which has been wonderful, but as it's been getting cooler, I took a chill early in the fall.  The pool water was getting cooler and I was still trying to get in 2 to 3 times a day, but night swims just didn't work and sitting out on the deck in the cool night air resulted in awakening in the night with a serious sore throat, horrible cough, and low grade fever.  I took it as a challenge.  "They" say there is no cure for the common cold and it must run it's course a week to 10 days.  I can't say for sure, this was the common cold, but I can tell you what I did and it was gone in less than 72 hours!

Since the elderberries were so abundant this year, it would only follow that the juice would be needed.  Elderberry juice is a wonderful immune builder!  So, I hit that the first night and continued 4 times a day for the three days.  I also have a wonderful Essential and Extract blend that I used as needed.  I believe the first 24 hour period was probably as many as 6 times . . . I never touched a Tylenol or ibuprofen for the fever.  Fevers are your body's way of killing germs.  Granted with children, fevers must be monitored, but the fever, itself, is not the problem.  I also have an old time honored remedy my Granny used to make.  In a cup, 1 tsp. Lemon juice, 1 TBS Honey, 1 oz. boiling water, blend, then add 1 jigger of Whiskey.  The first 24 hour period, I took three of these, then twice a day for the next two days, and that was it!

I will tell you, the moment I took the first Tablespoon of Elderberry juice, I felt it hit the site of infection in the back of my throat.  By the second Tablespoon, I knew whatever was attacking me, was now under attack!  I followed with Granny's formula which burned all the way down . . . I could literally feel the illness being attacked by natural remedies.

The symptoms began in the wee hours of early Monday morning, and by Monday evening, I had all three remedies at hand.  Tuesday was a day dedicated to recovery . . . Wednesday, I took care of business, pretty much as usual, and by Thursday, I was completely symptom free!

Many believe this winter is going to be somewhat harsh and with that may come illness.  Get some elderberry juice and have it on hand!

Blood on Our Hands

There has been much in the news about Planned Parenthood allegedly profiting from fetal tissue.  Many comments and vivid images of "blood on our hands."  In the article linked below, there is a short video in which the representative repeatedly says, there is no profit involved.

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/07/planned-parenthood-president-people-behind-harvesting-videos-are-bombers-and-murderers-video/

What caught my ear was the fact, just as we'd reported before, that this tissue is going to medical research.  The representative then proceeded to declare just how many people would benefit from this so called 'selfless act to help others,' in this fetal tissue donation.  I'm not going to even dignify any of her repeated claims by addressing her scripted rhetoric, but rather raise this question.

Now that we know, fetal tissue is used in medical research for manufacturing pharmaceuticals, studying disease, if we benefit from what is manufactured or discovered, is the blood on our hands as well?

Keeping Kosher

How much heart disease and circulatory issues could be avoided by a kosher diet?  Swine was not considered food in Y'hshuwah's day, nor did Peter's vision cause it to be declared food . . . yet, I digress.

Pork went to the table purely based on the love of money.  One sow can have two litters of pigs a year and a litter is usually at least a dozen.  Pigs grow fast, creating a diet boiled down to the profit margin.  I use this example, even before offering Scripture.  Bacon is all the rage right now, with all sorts of bacon flavored items hitting the shelves.  The pork used to make bacon is not what makes it taste good, it's all the flavoring folks want.  Without smoke, maple and brown sugar; bacon is just sliced fat.

American pork is a result of fast income and quick profit . . . nothing more and certainly nothing less.  Sows give birth to a litter anywhere between 8 and 16.  Each piglet grows rapidly to butcher size in 6 months or less, weighing nearly 200 pounds in less than six months.  Chickens, even with DNA tampering don't do much better than 3 pounds in 8 to 12 weeks.

As for real meat that is kosher, cows produce 1 calf that takes 18 to 24 months to butcher weight.  Goats often kid twins or even triplets, but range from 9 to 18 months for meat production at far less than 200 pounds . . . far less.  Pork is a money maker, and that is all . . . well that and Scripturally, the receptacle for demons cast out . . .

Keeping a kosher diet is not legalism, it is wisdom, it is health!

Discernment in Health

One of my granddaughters came into this world with a special health issue, and recently incurred another one.  There were complications when she was born, and ultimately we were told she needed a gastric tube for eating.  I knew better and wasn't long until I heard YHWH and was given a vision . . .  At the time I was mocked, and now the story has been retold to take the glory from Abba, but I stand on His Truth and it hasn't changed.  In this recent situation, the same mockers did the same mocking, but again, I knew what I heard and saw.

Upon hearing all the bad reports of my new little grandbaby's health, I of course, prayed.  As a matter of fact, I was praying long before they arrived, she was one of twins, and in all my singing, she seemed to actually recognize Amazing Grace at birth.  This was evident, in that the nurses actually came and got me from my daughter's room to sing to her as they could not calm that little tiny girl.   Through the course of hospital protocol, her care became complicated for a time.  She was moved to another hospital in a larger city and her twin came home with mama.  Since my daughter was staying with me already, we just traded days and nights with each baby for three weeks.  Through those three weeks, the baby in the hospital did not gain any weight and did not respond to their "therapy."  The therapy was obviously ridiculous and pointless, but I was already dubbed the "nutty religious grandma."  Yes, I anointed her with oil in the NICU!

The one problem with her being released from the hospital was she was not allowed liquids.  What do you feed a 3 week old infant besides liquids?  With her failure to respond to their therapy, we were going to be allowed to take her home with an NG tube for one week.  If she didn't gain weight, they would gain legal authority to intervene with surgery.  I will never forget sitting in that conference room with my daughter, social workers, doctors, etc. and my daughter looking me squarely in the eyes with tears in hers, and asked, "Mom, are you sure you heard G-d?"  I nodded my head responded with, "Yes."   Three days before her release, in all the hubbub of this situation, I was heading into my office, when I saw the vision.  It was simple and quick.  On top of my three drawer file cabinet sat a huge can of baby formula with a prayer shawl draped over it.  I blinked at it was gone, but the image remains in my mind to this day.  I knew that was what was needed for my granddaughter.  I went to the fabric store, purchased linen muslin, would be receiving the formula sample from the hospital new baby kit when she came home, so I was ready!  The one thing after preparing this was hearing and knowing to offer this right before we fed her through the NG tube, when she was actually hungry.  Abba clearly told me, "She would respond and eat."

The evening she came home, her feeding was to be at 9pm, so I place about a teaspoon of powdered formula on the little cloth, tied it with a pink ribbon, and moistened it.  As her mom prepared her formula for the tube, I took that baby upstairs, began singing and rocking, and placed the little food bundle to her lips.  Within a moment, that baby was sucking on that formula filled cloth!  Sucking hard enough, we discovered she had dimples!  We worked with this for nearly a week offering that before administering the tube feeding, when that little baby pulled the tube out herself.  At her week check up she'd either gained 5 ounces or weighed 5 pounds, now I don't remember, but it was a definite gain.  The first weight gain since her birth!  Her first full sentence would come 13 months later while eating out with the naysayers.  She took a bite and said, "It's so good!"

Sixteen years later, this little baby is practically all grown up.  She truly enjoys sports and was riding her bike recently when she was hit by a car.  Praise Adonai, she was not injured terribly, but she did receive some bruises and contusions.  I found out through social media . . . The report was from the ER, no broken bones, the obvious bruises and contusions, torn ligaments, and possible concussion.  Of course I prayed and asked many of my friends to join me.  Prayers were going up for that little girl from all over the globe.  Her Xrays had presumably been read by a radiologist and the ER doctor, but something just didn't look right about her ankle or foot, so I prayed for insight and received it.

With insurance being what it is today, I was concerned that something was being ignored to expedite the case and minimize the expense.  When I spoke up on social media in regard to the later photos posted, the thread went ugly quite rapidly, so I pulled it, knowing she would be seen by an orthopedic surgeon.  I had simply stated, and now I wish I'd left the proof . . . that between the ankle and foot there was a fracture or chip or some sort of bone injury.  The orthopedic surgeon read the Xrays and said no break just torn ligaments.  I remained adamant that it was a bone injury.  I knew what I'd heard and I could see from the photo!  The specialist did recommend one more test, an MRI, just to put everyone's mind at ease.  My granddaughter contacted me following that test to report to say, "Interestingly, the MRI showed a crack in my heel . . ."

Whether we want to admit it or not, as a society, we have placed our faith in modern medicine, and that is just as idolatrous as any other false god.  In prayer I heard what the problem was.  What three experts missed with Xrays, a "nutty religious grandma" heard from our Creator.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.  Jeremiah 33:3

Unhealthy Relationships Can Make Us Sick

                                             Contributed by Judith Dennis

BeInHealth Update:

Many diseases seem to come out of nowhere. The medical community says the etiology is unknown, which means doctors have no idea how it originated. The Bible says we are spiritual beings. We have a spirit, and a soul, and we live in a "mobile home" called a body! When there is something wrong in our spirit, that problem can become a diagnosed disease in the body.

Bad relationships can damage us to the core. Being rejected, abandoned, and having a broken heart, are the foundations for sickness. Sometimes in relationships we may find ourselves wanting to please people but feel unable. Maybe we are still re-living old relationship mistakes from the past. Maybe we read the Word and all we hear is guilt and condemnation, self-hatred, and heaviness that come from our failures, and can be destructive to the heart and the body. People who get stuck in grief, guilt, or anger are targets for the enemy who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. That road never leads to peace, joy, or anything else God promises.

God has a better way! Forgiveness, love, joy, patience, kindness, and self-control are some of the fruits of a relationship with Him. The chemicals released by unforgiveness coming out of bitterness are extremely destructive to our body. Forgiving others is the most important thing you can do for your health.

Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
We can leave behind all the harm of the past and choose God's way instead. That's where healing begins. When we trust God to lead us into all truth, we can approach relationships without fear of rejection and abandonment. Our lives will be peaceful and whole. That's good for our health!
Just thinking!

No More Sorcery!

I took care of ulcers with cabbage juice, aloe vera, and cayenne pepper.  I'd struggled with ulcers for years and years, and I felt convicted to stop taking pharmaceuticals for chronic conditions.  I was on a number of prescriptions due to MS and ulcers.  Back then the treatment plan for MS was basically various pharmaceuticals to address symptoms, so there were a number of prescriptions.  Obviously, there is still no cure for MS, but I knew I could address the ulcer problem.  Rather than just kill the acid production in my stomach, which I knew would eventually result in more problems, I wanted the ulcers healed.
Mainstream treatment for chronic conditions

I needed a natural remedy or change of diet.  Within three weeks of the concoction in the previous paragraph, my ulcers were gone.  That was back in the day before prilosec was OTC and I never filled the "prilosec prescription."  I did not receive a momentary instant healing, but the symptoms never returned.  MS symptoms and management have proven much more difficult than ulcers.  As a matter of fact, although I did away with symptom managing prescriptions, I did use mainstream medicine in two isolated MS exacerbations before simply stating "No More Sorcery."

That's what I want to discuss, and this article will not address congenital issues or accidents.  This is for adults making decisions about our own health.   While we claim to believe our Creator heals, and proclaim that His Son brought salvation, deliverance, and healing to all who will believe, most are walking in various levels of health issues and/or pain.  With the exception of accidents, most of our maladies didn't come upon us overnight!  We have a tendency to place our Heavenly Father on some sort of timetable and if He doesn't make it happen quickly, we're off to the doctor! I've heard the justification for combining faith with mainstream medicine in the basic statement that "G-d gave the doctors wisdom and we simply pray that HE guides their hands in surgery and provides the needed knowledge in the treatment plan . . ."  Then there's the tried and true rationalization for going for X rays, lab work, tests, and procedures . . . "so we know how to pray."

Apparently our society has programmed people to believe; although wisdom comes from our Creator, He needs test results to know how to guide the doctors.  Let that sink in for just a moment . . .

It is not easy to walk away from the sorcery of our society.  Pharmakeia is mainstream, but the Word of our Creator stands forever and He promised to keep us in health if we observe and obey His commands.  The Revelation is also very clear regarding the word "pharmakeia."  Although the term was translated "sorceries," the original is easily found and clearly recognizable as the root word of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals.  This is more than a matter of physical convenience, according to Scripture, it's a matter of faith with eternal consequence.
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.  Revelation 9:20-21

There is, of course, Good News and Instructions!

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  Isaiah 53:5

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH thy G-d, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHWH that healeth thee.  Exodus 15:26

Modern Medicine

Although medicine has become a much more central part of our society, physicians and the practice of medicine is far from modern.  Pharmaceuticals are what's new.  Physicians are mentioned in Scripture.  The term, physician, appears eleven times in Scripture, six of which are in the accounts of the Gospel.  Paul mentioned Luke in one of his letters as the beloved physician.  The term appears four times in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament.)  Physicians are mentioned as early as Genesis.   It is recorded that physicians embalmed Jacob.  That's not exactly the image of a physician that we hold to, today.

The account of King Asa in II Chronicles first spoke to me about the choice our society has made, yet doesn't admit.  Most of our society absolutely swears that our Creator uses doctors to heal us, but the following verse doesn't indicate that at all, quite the opposite, actually!
And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to YHWH, but to the physicians.  II Chronicles 16:12
King Asa was considered a good king, but the decision to seek physicians was in direct opposition to seeking YHWH.  The description of the illness sounds like it would be frightening.  I likened it to my own battle with MS and not being able to feel or stand on my feet.  There were a couple of times after becoming a believer in which I sought physicians when the symptoms of MS seemed "exceeding great," and thankfully I was allowed another chance after I repented.  King Asa wasn't given that opportunity.
And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.  II Chronicles 16:13
This account of King Asa has brought to mind many in our society who still die after seeking mainstream health care, but we say "the health care bought them so much more time . . ."  Did it really?  Obviously, none of us can answer that.  King Asa lived two years after seeking physicians, but we have no details as to the quality of his life.  I know this isn't the mindset of our Western culture, but perhaps his life wasn't prolonged two years as much as his death was dragged out for two years.  I'm not at all suggesting passively ignoring health problems, and neither is this passage.  Through out Scripture, we are told to seek YHWH, He is our Healer.  We're also told in Exodus, if we follow His Torah, we'll be healthy; also, lso not a popular teaching in our Western culture.  We prefer to remove or at least ignore the spiritual factor of our health.

The accounts of the Gospel clearly acknowledge that physicians were around at the same time Y'hshuwah walked this earth, yet there is no record that he ever sent anyone to a physician, nor do we find that the apostles recommended Luke.  Hebrews states that Messiah Y'hshuwah is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  If Messiah acknowledged physicians over 2000 years ago, and it's even recorded that the woman with the issue of blood spent her life savings on healthcare; what makes our modern medicine so different from the practice of medicine in Bible times?

Hippocrates, considered the father of modern medicine, actually lived about 400 years before Messiah was born.  Modern medicine is far from new, as Hippocrates work actually predated Messiah's earthly ministry.  The following paragraph links to an article about him.    Medical historians generally look to Hippocrates as the founder of medicine as a rational science.  It was Hippocrates who finally freed medicine from the shackles of magic, superstition, and the supernatural.
Scripture is clear that our Healer is very much supernatural and the accounts of the Gospel bear witness that much of Messiah's ministry involved healing.  There is absolutely no record that Messiah sent anyone to physicians for healing, when He walked this earth, so why would he send us now?

Y'hshuwah Messiah the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.  Hebrews 13:8

Poison

I'm trying to stay minimal "soap boxy" and not get all "brow beaty" but the side effects of pharmaceuticals is becoming an epidemic of it's own.  In searching Scripture for another article, I came across the second definition of the Greek term that bears the root word for our English word "pharmaceutical."

farmakeiva Pharmakeia
  1. the use or the administering of drugs
  2. poisoning
Suddenly, my light came on brightly!  Of course, pharmaceuticals are poison.  They are formulated to kill or reduce.  These chemicals kill various things.  Some of them kill bacteria, some are said to kill viruses, antibiotics kill infection, and some kill pain.  Now, there is also a plethora of pharmaceuticals formulated to take the rest of our lives that reduce blood pressure, reduce blood sugar, reduce cholesterol, and an entire host of poisons to reduce the effects of stress.

Psychiatric meds are troublesome on two levels because pharmaceuticals do not encourage life, and most psychiatric meds alter the chemicals in the brain with more pronounced side-effects than improvements.  The other problem with psychiatric meds is the fact that often these individuals are prone to depression and an overdose of these prescription poisons can be lethal.

Logically speaking, the fact that each pharmaceutical is precisely measured and prescribed according to specific bodily variables, is a clear indication any amount over what is considered "safe" can be hazardous.  Granted there are some herbs that must be monitored and there are some toxic plants, but by and large, the toxic plants are not medicinal and the average person would be hard pressed to consume enough remedy herbs to injure themselves over the short term.  An herbalist can offer clear and simple information regarding herbal use and consumption safety.  Doctors and pharmacists can offer only one two-part statement:  Take as directed.  In case of possible overdose, call poison control.   Even the professionals that use pharmaceuticals admit problems are handled by "poison control."  How many pharmaceuticals are called a "controlled substance?"

The possible side effects of proper use of pharmaceuticals is virtually endless and sadly, the figures of those who die from medical errors and reactions to the medications range from 100,000 to 400,000 per year.
One would have to choose to miss the direct correlation between the Greek term pharmakeia and the English pharmaceutical.   Just as Strong's Exhaustive Concordance gives the meaning to be poisoning, the PDR and precise dosage measurement confirms the word from Greek to English does not change the meaning.  Poison is poison!

I Don't Define by "Anti . . . "

It's so easy to define one's self as anti-pharmaceutical, anti-vaccination, and definitely anti-Big Pharma, but in my case the reality is, I am pro-YHWH Raphah and He doesn't share His glory with anything counterfeit or copied!  He created herbs for our use and states it right there in His Word.  He sent His Son that we can be forgiven, delivered, and healed.  Although in my beliefs, I do not use pharmaceuticals, I do stand with the anti-vaxxers and against Big Pharma, my beliefs are so much more positive and certainly lie in The One who is so much more powerful!
I am YHWH: that is My Name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.  Isaiah 42:8

I am not "anti," though, because there are many who do not believe our Creator heals, or they have been taught that He relies on modern medicine, so they do need these products.  It's truly a matter of faith, and it's not my call to insist that everyone believe as I do.  It is my call to make sure those who do place their faith in YHWH are encouraged and lifted before the Throne of Glory as they stand on the Rock that is higher than we are!  It is also my call to stand in faith as Peter penned in his first letter 3:15 . . .  be ready, always to give an answer to anyone who asks, the reason for the hope in me . . .

I have studied herbs and oils extensively for a number of years, as well as some alternative health modalities. Although I have been led away from homeopathy, I did study and complete the education curriculum.  I am a Master Herbalist, a certified massage therapist, specializing in Swedish massage and trigger point therapy, a reflexologist, iridologist, and aroma therapist.  As I saw governmental regulation taking on a new control, I did not choose to become state licensed in 1999, so I no longer practice Swedish massage therapy in my state of residence.  It's such a blessing that all the other areas of my study are not even recognized officially by legislators and regulators, so I do continue to share my knowledge and abilities in all these other areas.   HalleluYah!

I stand firmly in the fact that what our Creator has made can be quite helpful in health management, but for true health we must observe His commandments regarding diet and rest.  Essential oils, herbal extracts, and reflexology can be helpful in symptom management, but a kosher diet of real food and Sabbath rest truly make all the difference in physical health.  We know health care is being changed in this country, but as I write this, I have been shown the change that is coming in our health care will make it a very powerful arm of control.  Time is of the essence for those who would seek our Creator for full health care, to begin seeking Him fervently.

As the "herd mentality" for vaccination grows and the government control of fear mongering increases, the persecution will intensify.  There are pediatricians in some states, who, even without legislation; have already determined to stop seeing patients whose parents do not believe in forced immunization and will not submit to a vaccination schedule.  These children need a new doctor or, better yet; The Great Physician! Exodus 15:26  The next step will be mandated vaccinations in health care workers, then those of public governmental agencies, such as public school and social services.  The mandate is already being introduced in the foster care program in some states.

To define ourselves as "anti" reduces the impact of the positive stand we choose to take.  I am pro-YHWH, therefore; by contrast I am not anti-government mandate, just not in favor or need of such control.  .  I am anti-captivity.  To be honest, I am adamantly against loss of freedom and choice.   I choose health, I choose our Healer.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:  Deuteronomy 30:19

Sounds Very Encouraging

A new study to be published in July, 2014, in the Journal of Environmental Research, found that only one week on an organic diet can cause pesticide levels in adults to drop by nearly 90%. The study found participants' urinary dialkylphosphates (DAPs) measurements were 89% lower when they ate an organic diet for seven days compared to a conventional diet for the same amount of time. DAPs make up 70% to 80% of organophosphate pesticides. This reaffirms the findings of a study done in 2006 on children. Organic diets significantly lowered children's dietary exposure to organophosphorus pesticides. Know your farmer, plant a garden, boycott GMOs... we must take back control of our food.

Outreach

It's not quite leaving the corners and edges of the field, as Torah commands, but this woman had an idea that is reaching many and allowing many to participate.  I donate free range organic eggs and soap to our local food pantry, and distribute extra produce through the summer, but that is nothing compared to what this woman has done!  I do hope some of the volunteers are the people who benefit from her generosity . . .  For those who don't know.  Soap, shampoo, household cleaning products, paper products and feminine hygiene products are not eligible for purchase on SNAP.  There are families in which the adults are working while truly being stretched to their economic limit.  If you raise a garden or have extra eggs, I'd encourage you to take some to a food pantry.  So many of the working poor cannot afford good organic produce that is offered at the farmer's markets.

Insight

In last week's article, I said I did not consider a disability to be a blessing.  I still don't, but my health situation has been used in my life to teach me many things.  I've learned to maximize my effort and to not waste steps.  My health issue causes a decreased energy level, so I need to make every move count and do things well the first time.   Doing things twice takes three times the energy.  Doing it wrong the first time, undoing it, then doing it over again.

I've also learned that there are no guarantees in life, and while we acknowledge that our days are numbered, we may not feel just "peachy keen" for all of them.  Although patience is a virtue, and a fruit of the Spirit, a.k.a. long-suffering in the KJV, it's not an attribute to which I would naturally aspire, but with MS, there are days, I have no choice.  I can verify, His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

There is one fact in this disease that has given me amazing spiritual insight.  One of the progressive symptoms of MS is of course limited motion, which manifests differently in various ones of us.  My neck has lost a great deal of it's flexibility, and I often refer to myself as a "stiff-necked people."  In that though, my ability to look to the right or to the left is extremely limited without moving my entire torso.  There are many times in a day, in which this symptom serves as a reminder of that passage in Joshua, and to keep moving straight ahead.  I'm reminded it doesn't matter what is looming aside, I am on the narrow path.

One other significant symptom that has developed through the years is the inability to step backward.  I can climb a ladder to the top rung, but I can't get back down.  Those ladders in the swimming pool, I can climb out, but jumping or diving is my only method in.  I was sharing with a friend, every time I am reminded of this, and I'm usually in a bit of a bind when I realize it, I think of the passage that once we have put our hand to the plow, to not look back.  Every morning, I am blessed to arise and walk this place, doing chores.  I am thankful to not have all the symptoms that come with this diagnosis, and so grateful that His grace is sufficient.  We must keep moving forward in our walk and for believers, forward is following our Messiah to our Creator.

I still don't refer to MS as a blessing, but at times, it is quite a teacher!

Disability is Not a Blessing

I've actually heard people say their disability is a blessing.  I am not in a position to judge that, but usually that statement is followed in association with an income.  I have MS, and it comes with symptoms, but I am not disabled.  Since my life's work is a call to serve YHWH, and I am able to do that, I'm not disabled.  If I couldn't do what I was created and purposed to do, that might be another matter . . . but I don't believe our Creator would call us to do something and then not give us the strength to do it.

The grace to continue to function with the disability or around the disability or in spite of the disability is a blessing.  The fact that I am blessed to receive natural formulas for symptom management is a blessing, and one I am blessed to be able to share.  I'm in my mid fifties, so even if I didn't have MS, life comes with a few reminders of accidents and poor health practices of days gone by.  Due to a few old injuries, I can forecast a coming storm with the best of the meteorologists.  Due to some bad decision, I live with some scars, but I'm alive and I'm able to do what I'm called to do!

Years ago, when I walked away from mainstream medicine, I had 12 prescriptions for symptom management, CNS issues, and 3 additional prescriptions through an exacerbation.  It was nearly 20 years ago that I stopped the 12 prescriptions and went natural remedies for symptom management.  I did utilize the mainstream high power remedies for an exacerbation until 2001, but I also noticed in the time of walking away from the mainstream maintenance drugs, and dramatically improved my diet, I had fewer exacerbations.  My symptoms were dramatically improved when I stopped using aspartame.  As I said, I'm not symptom free and as I get older, I am reminded that I absolutely need Abbas strength in my accumulated weakness.

The previous paragraph is not exactly accurate.  When I left mainstream medicine all together in 2001, I wasn't walking.  I was in a wheel chair and had been very sickened by the treatment, and even worse, betrayed by family and friends to the point the powers that be actually came to my place of residence to see if it was acceptable for me to live there alone.  That was 2001, long before Obamacare, that some agency or aging and disability had that much power.  It was also recommended that I apply for disability and court ordered mainstream treatment was considered, but dropped.  I was a legal adult in a supposedly free country before 9/11 occurred.  I tried to always consider my exacerbations to be temporary, and I tried to have recovery plans.  Some times were scarier than others.  I knew in my heart, if I went on disability, I would become permanently disabled, my health would deteriorate.

I left and I remain outside of mainstream medicine and really most of mainstream to this day.  I had one little spell in which I used my wheel chair in 2002 for a just a little bit of time, and I do walk with a walking stick, but I'm walking.  Not only am I walking, I'm homesteading and raising a great deal of my remedies!  I don't use so many though these days.  I have natural Vitamin D, organic vegetables, raw milk, and meat with no growth hormones or antibiotics.   There are physical things that I can no longer do, and I am aware of my limitations, but I also know I can do so much more than I would be doing if I'd chosen to receive disability income and had remained on mainstream medications.

I can do all things through Messiah which strengtheneth me.

Another Formula

Seems, I'm getting a real crash course in "be ready."  Another formula came to me as I was working in the lab, and it wasn't two days later, I received a question about the very issue, the properties in the formula address.

I've been struggling, literally for some time now, as I am being led to walk away from homeopathy.  I wanted to see it differently than modern medicine, but YHWH continued to stir conviction in my spirit.  For a time, I really tried to categorize it as my usual "guilt complex" and self-condemnation, but I knew better.  I know His voice, but He didn't speak anything; this was just a check that wouldn't go away.  He didn't tell me not to do it, but there was always a question when I'd reach for a homeopathic product, or prepare to make a new order.

Years ago, I studied to be a Diplomat of Homeopathy, as we are called.  Through the years though, I just keep hearing Acts 4:13.  Most of my education is in alternative studies, so my knowledge doesn't count in most circles, which is understandable, considering our society and culture.  I got caught up for a time, myself, in the worship of education and degrees.  At one time, I was absolutely convinced if I just got the right piece of paper in my hand, I'd be respected.  Well, thankfully, my mother proved that to not be the case, so I delved a bit deeper.

As I have asked to walk out the book of Acts, and I believe I have been given just a taste of what is to come, I now have a deeper understanding of just what it is to actually live and serve the G-d of Israel and follow His Son according to the path of the book of Acts.  We modern disciples are in the same position Paul was, as we didn't know Messiah when He walked this earth, but by that same token, we can have the same promise and power in our lives.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Y'hshuwah.  Acts 4:13

Yet Another "Be Ready"

As many know, I have a natural health and beauty business as well as this publication and the homestead.  In all my years of practicing alternative health modalities, I've had to be very careful in the terminology.  The fact that nature and created remedies are termed alternative gives an indication as to how backward everything has become . . . so, I choose terms carefully.

When a formula contains healing properties, I warn against the potential side effect of what that is.  For instance, and this only a for instance, I don't have the product, but . . . If YHWH gave me a natural formula to balance blood sugar, I'd prepare it and the label warning would read:  This product has been known to cause a decrease in blood sugar levels, so if you are insulin dependent, take note.  So many people try to mix and match and hope for the best and it's always the "alternative remedies" and herbs that get blamed!

Now, back to my latest and I will be including more information as I get ready to unveil the latest line of products.  I was working on some general tonic type oils and extracts, when YHWH told me to formulate a remedy for ears.  Obviously, I was a bit taken aback as I don't usually make products in this manner.  We've all read the promos for the big Essential Oil businesses.  It's mostly things to balance and ward off, although now they are really getting scary with all the recommendations to actually ingest these products.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE INGESTION OF ESSENTIAL OILS.
A drop or two to flavor 4 ounces of home made toothpaste or breath freshener, but I don't ever advise to take Essential Oils orally.

So, when I wrote down the formula and combined it in a small glass amber bottle, I simply labeled it and looked up the best Hebrew term, because I pray over the products as I pack the orders, and I like to be talking the Healer's language as I pray.  It wasn't two weeks, I received a phone call from someone.  The conversation covered many aspects of life, and then about fifteen minutes into the discussion, this person suddenly asked me if I had any products or ideas for an ear problem they'd been experiencing.

Whoa!  Of course, I had to share the testimony of what I'd been led to do, and told them, the product would be on it's way.  The beauty of this situation is simple.  YHWH gave me the formula, so in that I've been freely given.  The cost of ingredients is my only expense and if that person is helped and can afford it, great.  If not, I know YHWH had this planned.  He'll make sure the costs are covered.

Goshen Essentials are Ready!

We have labels printed, formulas formulated, and information in print.  I am so excited to be able to make this available at an affordable price.  The one glitch I've had is the fact that I simply cannot offer this as a multi-level-marketing opportunity at this time.  From my research, that seems to be the main factor in the cost.  So, although we cannot offer this as a business opportunity, we will be able to offer some great incentive plans and coupons.

Our introductory offer will be forthcoming Tuesday.  In some of the formulation of the Essential Blends, the "side effects" have been interesting.  The side effect of one blend appears to be a reduced blood pressure!    The plan is to include one of the blends of your choice as a gift, when purchasing the Goshen Essentials Basic.  The website will be built, hopefully by Monday evening, an the options listed.

Our Creator made so much goodness!
