Blood on Our Hands

There has been much in the news about Planned Parenthood allegedly profiting from fetal tissue.  Many comments and vivid images of "blood on our hands."  In the article linked below, there is a short video in which the representative repeatedly says, there is no profit involved.

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/07/planned-parenthood-president-people-behind-harvesting-videos-are-bombers-and-murderers-video/

What caught my ear was the fact, just as we'd reported before, that this tissue is going to medical research.  The representative then proceeded to declare just how many people would benefit from this so called 'selfless act to help others,' in this fetal tissue donation.  I'm not going to even dignify any of her repeated claims by addressing her scripted rhetoric, but rather raise this question.

Now that we know, fetal tissue is used in medical research for manufacturing pharmaceuticals, studying disease, if we benefit from what is manufactured or discovered, is the blood on our hands as well?

Keeping Kosher

How much heart disease and circulatory issues could be avoided by a kosher diet?  Swine was not considered food in Y'hshuwah's day, nor did Peter's vision cause it to be declared food . . . yet, I digress.

Pork went to the table purely based on the love of money.  One sow can have two litters of pigs a year and a litter is usually at least a dozen.  Pigs grow fast, creating a diet boiled down to the profit margin.  I use this example, even before offering Scripture.  Bacon is all the rage right now, with all sorts of bacon flavored items hitting the shelves.  The pork used to make bacon is not what makes it taste good, it's all the flavoring folks want.  Without smoke, maple and brown sugar; bacon is just sliced fat.

American pork is a result of fast income and quick profit . . . nothing more and certainly nothing less.  Sows give birth to a litter anywhere between 8 and 16.  Each piglet grows rapidly to butcher size in 6 months or less, weighing nearly 200 pounds in less than six months.  Chickens, even with DNA tampering don't do much better than 3 pounds in 8 to 12 weeks.

As for real meat that is kosher, cows produce 1 calf that takes 18 to 24 months to butcher weight.  Goats often kid twins or even triplets, but range from 9 to 18 months for meat production at far less than 200 pounds . . . far less.  Pork is a money maker, and that is all . . . well that and Scripturally, the receptacle for demons cast out . . .

Keeping a kosher diet is not legalism, it is wisdom, it is health!

Discernment in Health

One of my granddaughters came into this world with a special health issue, and recently incurred another one.  There were complications when she was born, and ultimately we were told she needed a gastric tube for eating.  I knew better and wasn't long until I heard YHWH and was given a vision . . .  At the time I was mocked, and now the story has been retold to take the glory from Abba, but I stand on His Truth and it hasn't changed.  In this recent situation, the same mockers did the same mocking, but again, I knew what I heard and saw.

Upon hearing all the bad reports of my new little grandbaby's health, I of course, prayed.  As a matter of fact, I was praying long before they arrived, she was one of twins, and in all my singing, she seemed to actually recognize Amazing Grace at birth.  This was evident, in that the nurses actually came and got me from my daughter's room to sing to her as they could not calm that little tiny girl.   Through the course of hospital protocol, her care became complicated for a time.  She was moved to another hospital in a larger city and her twin came home with mama.  Since my daughter was staying with me already, we just traded days and nights with each baby for three weeks.  Through those three weeks, the baby in the hospital did not gain any weight and did not respond to their "therapy."  The therapy was obviously ridiculous and pointless, but I was already dubbed the "nutty religious grandma."  Yes, I anointed her with oil in the NICU!

The one problem with her being released from the hospital was she was not allowed liquids.  What do you feed a 3 week old infant besides liquids?  With her failure to respond to their therapy, we were going to be allowed to take her home with an NG tube for one week.  If she didn't gain weight, they would gain legal authority to intervene with surgery.  I will never forget sitting in that conference room with my daughter, social workers, doctors, etc. and my daughter looking me squarely in the eyes with tears in hers, and asked, "Mom, are you sure you heard G-d?"  I nodded my head responded with, "Yes."   Three days before her release, in all the hubbub of this situation, I was heading into my office, when I saw the vision.  It was simple and quick.  On top of my three drawer file cabinet sat a huge can of baby formula with a prayer shawl draped over it.  I blinked at it was gone, but the image remains in my mind to this day.  I knew that was what was needed for my granddaughter.  I went to the fabric store, purchased linen muslin, would be receiving the formula sample from the hospital new baby kit when she came home, so I was ready!  The one thing after preparing this was hearing and knowing to offer this right before we fed her through the NG tube, when she was actually hungry.  Abba clearly told me, "She would respond and eat."

The evening she came home, her feeding was to be at 9pm, so I place about a teaspoon of powdered formula on the little cloth, tied it with a pink ribbon, and moistened it.  As her mom prepared her formula for the tube, I took that baby upstairs, began singing and rocking, and placed the little food bundle to her lips.  Within a moment, that baby was sucking on that formula filled cloth!  Sucking hard enough, we discovered she had dimples!  We worked with this for nearly a week offering that before administering the tube feeding, when that little baby pulled the tube out herself.  At her week check up she'd either gained 5 ounces or weighed 5 pounds, now I don't remember, but it was a definite gain.  The first weight gain since her birth!  Her first full sentence would come 13 months later while eating out with the naysayers.  She took a bite and said, "It's so good!"

Sixteen years later, this little baby is practically all grown up.  She truly enjoys sports and was riding her bike recently when she was hit by a car.  Praise Adonai, she was not injured terribly, but she did receive some bruises and contusions.  I found out through social media . . . The report was from the ER, no broken bones, the obvious bruises and contusions, torn ligaments, and possible concussion.  Of course I prayed and asked many of my friends to join me.  Prayers were going up for that little girl from all over the globe.  Her Xrays had presumably been read by a radiologist and the ER doctor, but something just didn't look right about her ankle or foot, so I prayed for insight and received it.

With insurance being what it is today, I was concerned that something was being ignored to expedite the case and minimize the expense.  When I spoke up on social media in regard to the later photos posted, the thread went ugly quite rapidly, so I pulled it, knowing she would be seen by an orthopedic surgeon.  I had simply stated, and now I wish I'd left the proof . . . that between the ankle and foot there was a fracture or chip or some sort of bone injury.  The orthopedic surgeon read the Xrays and said no break just torn ligaments.  I remained adamant that it was a bone injury.  I knew what I'd heard and I could see from the photo!  The specialist did recommend one more test, an MRI, just to put everyone's mind at ease.  My granddaughter contacted me following that test to report to say, "Interestingly, the MRI showed a crack in my heel . . ."

Whether we want to admit it or not, as a society, we have placed our faith in modern medicine, and that is just as idolatrous as any other false god.  In prayer I heard what the problem was.  What three experts missed with Xrays, a "nutty religious grandma" heard from our Creator.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.  Jeremiah 33:3

Unhealthy Relationships Can Make Us Sick

                                             Contributed by Judith Dennis

BeInHealth Update:

Many diseases seem to come out of nowhere. The medical community says the etiology is unknown, which means doctors have no idea how it originated. The Bible says we are spiritual beings. We have a spirit, and a soul, and we live in a "mobile home" called a body! When there is something wrong in our spirit, that problem can become a diagnosed disease in the body.

Bad relationships can damage us to the core. Being rejected, abandoned, and having a broken heart, are the foundations for sickness. Sometimes in relationships we may find ourselves wanting to please people but feel unable. Maybe we are still re-living old relationship mistakes from the past. Maybe we read the Word and all we hear is guilt and condemnation, self-hatred, and heaviness that come from our failures, and can be destructive to the heart and the body. People who get stuck in grief, guilt, or anger are targets for the enemy who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. That road never leads to peace, joy, or anything else God promises.

God has a better way! Forgiveness, love, joy, patience, kindness, and self-control are some of the fruits of a relationship with Him. The chemicals released by unforgiveness coming out of bitterness are extremely destructive to our body. Forgiving others is the most important thing you can do for your health.

Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
We can leave behind all the harm of the past and choose God's way instead. That's where healing begins. When we trust God to lead us into all truth, we can approach relationships without fear of rejection and abandonment. Our lives will be peaceful and whole. That's good for our health!
Just thinking!

No More Sorcery!

I took care of ulcers with cabbage juice, aloe vera, and cayenne pepper.  I'd struggled with ulcers for years and years, and I felt convicted to stop taking pharmaceuticals for chronic conditions.  I was on a number of prescriptions due to MS and ulcers.  Back then the treatment plan for MS was basically various pharmaceuticals to address symptoms, so there were a number of prescriptions.  Obviously, there is still no cure for MS, but I knew I could address the ulcer problem.  Rather than just kill the acid production in my stomach, which I knew would eventually result in more problems, I wanted the ulcers healed.
Mainstream treatment for chronic conditions

I needed a natural remedy or change of diet.  Within three weeks of the concoction in the previous paragraph, my ulcers were gone.  That was back in the day before prilosec was OTC and I never filled the "prilosec prescription."  I did not receive a momentary instant healing, but the symptoms never returned.  MS symptoms and management have proven much more difficult than ulcers.  As a matter of fact, although I did away with symptom managing prescriptions, I did use mainstream medicine in two isolated MS exacerbations before simply stating "No More Sorcery."

That's what I want to discuss, and this article will not address congenital issues or accidents.  This is for adults making decisions about our own health.   While we claim to believe our Creator heals, and proclaim that His Son brought salvation, deliverance, and healing to all who will believe, most are walking in various levels of health issues and/or pain.  With the exception of accidents, most of our maladies didn't come upon us overnight!  We have a tendency to place our Heavenly Father on some sort of timetable and if He doesn't make it happen quickly, we're off to the doctor! I've heard the justification for combining faith with mainstream medicine in the basic statement that "G-d gave the doctors wisdom and we simply pray that HE guides their hands in surgery and provides the needed knowledge in the treatment plan . . ."  Then there's the tried and true rationalization for going for X rays, lab work, tests, and procedures . . . "so we know how to pray."

Apparently our society has programmed people to believe; although wisdom comes from our Creator, He needs test results to know how to guide the doctors.  Let that sink in for just a moment . . .

It is not easy to walk away from the sorcery of our society.  Pharmakeia is mainstream, but the Word of our Creator stands forever and He promised to keep us in health if we observe and obey His commands.  The Revelation is also very clear regarding the word "pharmakeia."  Although the term was translated "sorceries," the original is easily found and clearly recognizable as the root word of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals.  This is more than a matter of physical convenience, according to Scripture, it's a matter of faith with eternal consequence.
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.  Revelation 9:20-21

There is, of course, Good News and Instructions!

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  Isaiah 53:5

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH thy G-d, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHWH that healeth thee.  Exodus 15:26

Modern Medicine

Although medicine has become a much more central part of our society, physicians and the practice of medicine is far from modern.  Pharmaceuticals are what's new.  Physicians are mentioned in Scripture.  The term, physician, appears eleven times in Scripture, six of which are in the accounts of the Gospel.  Paul mentioned Luke in one of his letters as the beloved physician.  The term appears four times in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament.)  Physicians are mentioned as early as Genesis.   It is recorded that physicians embalmed Jacob.  That's not exactly the image of a physician that we hold to, today.

The account of King Asa in II Chronicles first spoke to me about the choice our society has made, yet doesn't admit.  Most of our society absolutely swears that our Creator uses doctors to heal us, but the following verse doesn't indicate that at all, quite the opposite, actually!
And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to YHWH, but to the physicians.  II Chronicles 16:12
King Asa was considered a good king, but the decision to seek physicians was in direct opposition to seeking YHWH.  The description of the illness sounds like it would be frightening.  I likened it to my own battle with MS and not being able to feel or stand on my feet.  There were a couple of times after becoming a believer in which I sought physicians when the symptoms of MS seemed "exceeding great," and thankfully I was allowed another chance after I repented.  King Asa wasn't given that opportunity.
And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.  II Chronicles 16:13
This account of King Asa has brought to mind many in our society who still die after seeking mainstream health care, but we say "the health care bought them so much more time . . ."  Did it really?  Obviously, none of us can answer that.  King Asa lived two years after seeking physicians, but we have no details as to the quality of his life.  I know this isn't the mindset of our Western culture, but perhaps his life wasn't prolonged two years as much as his death was dragged out for two years.  I'm not at all suggesting passively ignoring health problems, and neither is this passage.  Through out Scripture, we are told to seek YHWH, He is our Healer.  We're also told in Exodus, if we follow His Torah, we'll be healthy; also, lso not a popular teaching in our Western culture.  We prefer to remove or at least ignore the spiritual factor of our health.

The accounts of the Gospel clearly acknowledge that physicians were around at the same time Y'hshuwah walked this earth, yet there is no record that he ever sent anyone to a physician, nor do we find that the apostles recommended Luke.  Hebrews states that Messiah Y'hshuwah is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  If Messiah acknowledged physicians over 2000 years ago, and it's even recorded that the woman with the issue of blood spent her life savings on healthcare; what makes our modern medicine so different from the practice of medicine in Bible times?

Hippocrates, considered the father of modern medicine, actually lived about 400 years before Messiah was born.  Modern medicine is far from new, as Hippocrates work actually predated Messiah's earthly ministry.  The following paragraph links to an article about him.    Medical historians generally look to Hippocrates as the founder of medicine as a rational science.  It was Hippocrates who finally freed medicine from the shackles of magic, superstition, and the supernatural.
Scripture is clear that our Healer is very much supernatural and the accounts of the Gospel bear witness that much of Messiah's ministry involved healing.  There is absolutely no record that Messiah sent anyone to physicians for healing, when He walked this earth, so why would he send us now?

Y'hshuwah Messiah the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.  Hebrews 13:8
